Guilherme Hirose is a Brazilian vocalist, music producer, and songwriter who has established himself as a prominent voice in the international power metal scene. Recognized for his soaring high notes, remarkable vocal range, expressive interpretations, and commanding stage presence, Hirose has built an international career through studio recordings, worldwide performances, and collaborations with musicians from across the globe.

 

Currently the frontman of the Japan-based international power metal band ILLUSION FORCE, Hirose is also widely recognized for his work with TraumeR and his tenure as lead vocalist of NorthTale (2020–2024).

 

His musical journey began in São Paulo, Brazil, where his passion for melodic heavy metal evolved into a professional career encompassing performance, songwriting and music production.

 

 

 

ILLUSION FORCE | A New International Chapter

In June 2025, Guilherme Hirose was officially announced as the new lead vocalist of ILLUSION FORCE, marking an exciting new chapter for the Japan-based power metal band.

 

Bringing his distinctive vocal identity, extensive international experience, and dynamic stage presence to the group, Hirose made his live debut with ILLUSION FORCE during their Japanese tour in November and December 2025.

 

In August 2026, the band reached an important milestone with its European debut at Vagos Metal Fest, one of Portugal's established international heavy metal festivals. Held in Vagos, the event brought together renowned acts from across the global metal scene, including Godsmack, Within Temptation, In Flames, and Lamb of God. Fronted by Hirose, ILLUSION FORCE introduced its energetic and melodic brand of power metal to European festival audiences, marking a significant step in the band's international expansion.

 

Later that same month, ILLUSION FORCE returned to Japan for Evoken Fest 2026, a prominent international melodic and power metal event held at Tokyo's Kanda Myojin Hall. Sharing the festival lineup with renowned acts such as Edenbridge, Headless, Alterium, and Seven Thorns, the band further strengthened its position within the Japanese metal scene while continuing to build its international recognition.

 

With an international lineup and a shared passion for powerful melodies, intricate arrangements, and epic musical storytelling, ILLUSION FORCE represents an exciting creative chapter in Hirose's career. These appearances highlight the band's growing international presence and reinforce Hirose's reputation as a dynamic and experienced frontman, connecting audiences across continents through the power of melodic heavy metal.

 

 

TRAUMER | The Foundations of an International Career

As the longtime frontman of Brazilian melodic power metal band TraumeR, Guilherme Hirose has played a central role in shaping the group's musical identity and international development.

 

His powerful vocal performances, emotional delivery, and ability to combine technical precision with melodic expression have become defining elements of the band's sound.

 

His work with TraumeR includes the albums The Great Metal Storm (2014), Avalon (2016), and History (2018), which helped establish the band's presence in international markets, particularly Japan and Europe.

 

Beyond his role as lead vocalist, Hirose has been deeply involved in the band's creative and technical development, overseeing recording, production, mixing, and live production. His work demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the music industry, both onstage and behind the scenes.

 

 

NORTHTALE | A Global Power Metal Journey

Between 2020 and 2024, Guilherme Hirose served as the lead vocalist of the international power metal band NorthTale, further establishing his presence on the global metal scene.

 

His performance on the band's second studio album, Eternal Flame (2021), released through Nuclear Blast Records, showcased his exceptional vocal range, soaring high notes, and expressive interpretations.

 

Throughout his tenure, Hirose brought his distinctive vocal identity to stages across Europe and Asia, building an extensive international touring career. His performances included major European tours in 2023 and 2024, taking him to numerous cities across Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, England and Scotland. Beyond Europe, he also performed extensively in Japan and China, including a remarkable appearance at China's MIDI Music Festival, where the band performed before an audience of approximately 70,000 people. These experiences further established Hirose as a seasoned international frontman, recognized for his powerful vocal delivery and commanding live performances.

 

This chapter of his career strengthened his international reputation and demonstrated his versatility as both a recording artist and a powerful live performer.

 

 

SOLO CAREER | A Personal Musical Vision

In 2025, Guilherme Hirose launched his solo career, opening a new avenue for artistic expression and creative independence.

 

His original singles "A New Empire" and "Independence or Death" showcase his passion for powerful melodies, anthemic compositions, and storytelling, while his interpretations of "Smoking Snakes" by Sabaton and "Carry On" by Angra pay tribute to influential works within the metal genre.

 

Through his solo releases, Hirose continues to explore his musical identity beyond the boundaries of his established bands, bringing together his experience as a vocalist, producer, and songwriter.

Throughout his career, Guilherme Hirose has participated in numerous musical collaborations, including studio recordings and live performances with artists and projects such as Confessori, Chaos Control (Japan), Gloria Perpetua, and ShamAngra among others.

 

A graduate in Music Production from Anhembi Morumbi University in São Paulo, Hirose's expertise extends well beyond vocal performance. His professional background encompasses music production, recording, mixing, mastering, live production, and tour management.

 

This combination of artistic vision and technical knowledge has enabled him to contribute to projects from their earliest creative stages through to their final recordings and international performances.
